Peace GEM Community,

We told you we were taking a pause, and we are still honoring it.

However, there is a difference between being paused and being still.

Behind the scenes, we've been practicing self-care, rebuilding, nurturing relationships, creating opportunities, supporting our GEMS, and tending to the future of GEM CULTURE with care.

So, as we return to our monthly newsletter, here is a little of what has been happening inside the culture. 💎

A GEM AT THE TABLE

On August 1, GEM artistpreneur and college student, Kimani Gordon, joined the live Funding the Dream conversation during the inaugural FIND YOUR RIMIDI™: The Late Bloomer Experience.

She shared the table with working artists, educators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders for a real conversation about what it takes to fund and sustain a creative life.

This is part of what we mean when we talk about mentorship.

Not simply preparing young people for the table.
Making room for them at it.

A NEW PARTNERSHIP

GEM CULTURE has established a community impact partnership with FIND YOUR RIMIDI™, creating opportunities for our GEMS while generating financial support for the work of GEM CULTURE.

Through the partnership, 10% of proceeds from paid FIND YOUR RIMIDI™ experiences benefit GEM CULTURE.

And when the September 13 experience is offered with complimentary entry, RIMIDI will contribute 10% of album-sale proceeds generated during the experience to GEM CULTURE.

Our organizational pause continues.

This season is giving GEM CULTURE space to listen, reflect, strengthen relationships, nurture opportunities, rebuild and thoughtfully prepare for what comes next.

We aren't rushing the process.

We are tending to it.

And when there is something meaningful to share with you, we will.

Give Miami Day is coming, and GEM CULTURE is preparing to participate.

We’re not asking you to give today. We’re simply asking you to save the date, set aside at least $25 if you can, and prepare to help us spread the word.

When the time comes, your support will help us continue investing in the girls and young artistpreneurs we serve through safe spaces, mentorship, development, and opportunities to grow.

$25 can go a very long way when a community gives together. 💎
