Great aunt to our Founder, RIMIDI, mother to Derek Forbes, aunt to Elle Bee, Stephanie and Sonya Flowers and sister to the late Lillian Smith Longley, Dora continues to be a guiding force in shaping the values and direction of our culture.

A dedicated educator, Dora's journey began at Florida Memorial College, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1972. She went on to serve Miami Dade County Public Schools for decades, leaving an indelible mark on countless students and fellow educators. Even in retirement, she remains open to learning and exploring new avenues, embodying the true spirit of an educator.
Her passion for education and commitment to serving future generations have left a lasting impact on RIMIDI and, by extension, GEM CULTURE. Dora's influence is reflected in the culture's emphasis on education as a tool for empowerment and growth.
