Peace GEM Village & GEM Community,
While our GEMS, DIAMONDS and GEM LEADERSHIP TRIBE may be homeschooled, working, attending schools, colleges or universities in our GEM Community (near and far), exploring and showing up as entrepreneurs, and/or taking a gap year, one thing for sure is that they are all moving through a transition, new spaces, new beginnings, challenging thoughts and situations - with support.
That is the one thing that we all have in common here, we all have support.

10 Days of Connection
During the first half of our 2024 programming year, our GEMS and DIAMONDS hosted and led a public Connection Space in partnership with the 10 Days of Connections, Collective Sistahood, Fanm Saj, A Better Me Foundation, The Dreamcatchers for the Soul Foundation and with the support of our GEM LEADERSHIP TRIBE, deepening their connections with themselves, members of the culture and with our GEM Village and GEM Community.
“For 10 days each year, 10 Days of Connection challenges us to connect boldly”.
The 10 Days of Connection challenges the entire community to break down silos and engage in acts of connection, to build empathy, increase overstanding, and to refocus on our shared humanity. It is accomplished through connection experiences, like A Connection Space™ - virtual, hybrid, or in-person events that both challenge us and bring us together.

The 11th Annual Children of the Lotus Event  Miramar, FL – For the second year in a row, GEM CULTURE partnered with The Dreamcatchers for the Soul Foundation for their 11th Annual Children of the Lotus Back to School Retreat with the theme being the SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA, embodying the idea that “I AM POWERFUL”. The event was held at the Miramar Multi-Service Complex located in Miramar, Florida.
This year’s theme, “I am Powerful,” focused on the Solar Plexus chakra, aiming to empower youth to recognize their inherent strength. The event fostered qualities such as self-confidence, resilience, and leadership skills, featuring tailored workshops for children and teens ages 5 to 18. Activities included yoga, meditation, healthy eating, personal development, art, and more…  This year's “Children of the Lotus” event has been especially special to us as it featured one of our very own GEMS as a speaker, Nathalie E.
How amazing was it to see her in action, leading her own safe spaces!
The event was made possible through the leadership and direction of The Dreamcatchers for the Soul Foundation and partnerships with Bolay, Memorial Health System, Commissioner Yvette Colbourne, Children’s Services Council of Broward County, Longville Wellness, Spa National, and GEM CULTURE.
