A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Our Path and Pause Forward
Peace GEM Community,
I am reaching out with deep gratitude and honesty. Since our Spring 2025 GEM Retreat, I’ve needed to step back to care for myself. After giving all I had, I had to leave my job and pause GEM CULTURE so I could refill my cup. Whether you’re a longtime donor, a supporter, or a newcomer, we want you to know we’re still here. We’re still holding the vision, and we’re coming back stronger, with a sustainable model, in 2028 built on capacity, aligned support, and care. We want to build capacity so that we are not just grant-ready, but truly sustainable, diversified in our support and built on strong foundations. Thank you for your belief in us, for your donations, your generosity, and your trust.
To our very beautiful and precious GEM TRIBE:
GEMS, DIAMONDS, and GEM PARENTS, as you know we paused last August, and I’m so incredibly grateful for your love, patience and support. I am especially thankful for your overstanding, especially of our goals, and in the power of the pause. I am happy and pleased to know that, even in making one of the hardest decisions of my life, I was still able to model for you. I chose myself, and that was admirable to each of you. That gave me strength. We had said 2027, but after reflecting, we need 2028, just one more year to rebuild with balance and intention. If you or anyone would like to assist us, we would greatly appreciate and welcome that, especially as we pivot and build capacity.
The vision we've built, including our signature experiences and programming, still lives within us, and will return in a more aligned and sustainable way.
One person cannot do this alone, but to the ones we serve, we will give the absolute best. We’re still here, still in Discord, still reachable. We will rise again, together.
